Kevin and I have been round and round about where we are going to build our house on our new property. We have over two acres, and can't seem to agree on where to put it. I wanted to put the house in the middle of the property and he wanted to have it built on the side of the property under these great big shade trees. Well, after looking at the property and realizing what all we could do with the side yard if we were to put the house where Kevin wants it, we came to a compromise, we are going to build on the back part of the side yard under these great big beautiful oak trees. This should help keep the cost of the electric down in the summer and it adds for shade comfort when we will be sitting on the porch of the new house. We can use the rest of the property in the front and on the side for fruit trees and a garden. I am so ready for my new house. I can't wait. We actually have an appointment with a builder on Saturday, to go over costs and plans. This should make for an intresting day!

Father's day..
Well, I am a little late posting about Father's Day, better late than never!
We had a pretty good Father's Day. I bought Kevin an Autumn Blaze Maple shade tree. This tree is supposed to grow very big and it turns red in Fall and late Summer. I thought this would be a great gift that keeps on giving. Kevin can watch this tree grow along with Grisham. One day when Grisham is grown and living his own life, Kevin can look at this tree and always be reminded of Grisham. I also made him a stepping stone, well actually 2 stepping stones, the first one turned out horrible! I didn't realize that you weren't supposed to leave the thing in the mold while it was drying..so needless to say this stone is forever incased in plastic! I couldn't stand it, Kevin liked it but I knew I could do better, so I made a second stone that turned out really cute. It has Grisham's handprints on it. We are going to put this in the yard of our new place when the house is finally built.
This is the cute stepping stone..

Grisham had his first stitches. He had to go to the dermatologist to have a bump looked at that came up on his back a couple of months ago. We went to his doctor with it a couple of times and he gave us cream to put it on, but it didn't seem to help, so the pediatrician set us up to see a dermatologist. The dermatologist did a biopsy of the site which required stitches. My poor baby!!. He was a real champ though. He did great. The good news is that the test results came back today, and it's just a skin condition that is very common in infants. It's has this great big word that goes with it, which I can't spell or pronounce, which in real people terms means hives. So, nothing major, thank god! We go Wednesday to have the stitches removed.
