Little couch potatoe!

10 months old

My little fella turned 10 months old on Sunday! I can't believe he's getting so big! He has become quite the little personality! He's so cute. He loves to tell you no..and he will shake his finger at you..(wonder where he learned that!) He is still a full force of energy. He is always on the go. He's learning to associate words with their meanings. You can ask him where the light is and he will look up, or where the doggies are and he will look for them. He's also gotten into Elmo! Anytime he hears Elmo's voice on the TV he stops everything he's doing to see him. He also likes to watch Seseeme Street. We are now down to three bottles a day. I eliminated the wake up bottle. So he now gets a breakfast instead. He did really well on giving it up. I just have three to go and we will be bottle free! (god help us!) It's so much fun to watch him grow and to see how he is learning different things..Oh..and one more HUGE thing he is doing..he has started to put his face under water while he is in the bathtub! At first I was all frantic about stopping him, then I realized that he actually knows his limits on when enough is enough. I can't keep him from doing it! This kid has no fear! Maybe he will be an olympic swimmer one day! He loves the water! I can't wait to see what this month holds!

Our first Halloween as parents..

Kevin and I have waited a very long 8 years to be able to trick or treat with our own child. Every year we have participated with nieces and nephew, being the ones who are always eager to pull a trailer with hay and help the mommas and daddies get their kids to the door of the houses. I can't begin to tell you how amazing it was to pick out that special costume for MY child. How it felt to rush home from work and make sure he is dressed before dark, how it felt to have a picture of my child with my nieces and nephews, how it felt to take him to the door to be looked at and complimented on because of how cute he was in his costume. I now truly know how to celebrate Halloween..I get to celebrate it the best way possible, through MY child's eyes. I cannot ask for anything more.

The pictures say it all! Start to finish..of Grisham's First Halloween
